Letter, probably from Hamid al-Sultan, about: his arrival at Khuy and preoccupation with work; Safiyah's illness and the recommendation to call an experienced doctor; sending money and ensuring that the household has enough money; Khanum's departure for Mashhad; the sewing machine and taking money from a woman; his concern about the epidemic; Aqa Sayyid Husayn's illness; sending greetings to Akhund; a request for regular letters and to inform the writer about the well-being of the family; and asking about the addressee's sister and whether she has found a companion or not.

‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk to Surur al-Saltanah
‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah probably from Khurasan, in which he explains why he had missed the postman since he had gone to the suburbs of Mashhad to oversee his properties and got stuck because of the snow. He mentions how much he misses her and complains that when he was in Tehran and insisted on seeing Surur al-Saltanah, she would put it off and now that he is away she says that she misses him, and he asks her whether she will agree to meet with him when he is back. Letters from Zinat Malik and Muhtaram al-Saltanah
These letters are about their travel to India and their meeting with Malakah Jahan, wife of Muhammad ʻAli Shah, and Fakhr al-Taj, daughter of Muʻayyir al-Mamalik in Mumbai. On one of the pages Bahman Bayani gives some explanations about the people in the letters.

Regarding a claim by Sakinah Khanum, wife of Shaykh Muhammad ‘Ali from Sabzivar, against Afrasiyab Khan (Alexander), son of Comte de Monte Fort, over two white horses. She presents an affidavit and a settlement in which her daughter, Kawkab Khanum, has transferred ownership of the two horses to her along with their accessories and a carriage. Haji Riza Gari-chi (coachman) from Shiraz, son of Rustam Khan, had transferred the mentioned items to his wife, Kawkab Khanum, for her mahr of one hundred fifty tumans. Love letters of ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash), son of Karim Dad Khan, to Surur al-Saltanah, daughter of Zarrin Kulah Khanum and Khazin al-Mulk, accompanied by some envelopes and part of a letter, probably from Surur al-Saltanah to Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk.
