‘Izzat al-Saltanah writes about her travel: first on the way from Tehran to Qum, Mahmud Khan was thrown out of the carriage, but only had minor injuries on his hands, thus Khanum [their mother, Khadijah Sultan] sacrificed a few sheep. This treatise is social criticism written in the form of a comical story that is set in the month of Khurdad of the year 1289 AH in Tehran. The manuscript was rewritten on the 4th of Safar in 1348 AH by Mirza Sulayman Shaqaqi at the request of its first writer ʻImad al-Saltanah.
