Correspondence of Fakhr al-Dawlah and Amin al-Dawlah regarding Amin al-Dawlah's situation, 1917
Correspondence of Fakhr al-Dawlah and her husband, Amin al-Dawlah, with each other as well as with other people regarding Amin al-Dawlah's situation: 1- Amin al-Dawlah's telegram from Rasht to Fakhr al-Dawlah in Tehran regarding selling the house and household furnishing to prepare the money for his freedom (June 29, 1917); 2- Amin al-Dawlah's telegram from Kasma’ to Mustawfi al-Mamalik, referring to his letter of July 1st to his family about his situation and asks him if he could help them in providing the money; 3- Amin al-Dawlah's telegram from Rasht to Fakhr al-Dawlah in Tehran requesting to provide one hundred thousand tumans to save his life. He instructs her to mortgage their house and properties to Tumanians or ask Javad Ganjah’i to bring the money to Rasht. He emphasizes that he only has a few days to save his life (July 5th); 4- Amin al-Dawlah's telegram from Rasht to Fakhr al-Dawlah in Tehran complaining that she is not doing enough to rescue him, that writing to people is not going to help, and he needs the one hundred thousand tumans in three days (July 5th); 5- Telegram by Shaykh Muhammad Taqi and Muhammad Riza from Rasht to Fakhr al-Dawlah in Tehran, t telling her that Amin al-Dawlah and themself are in trouble and emphasizing that they need the money within three days, otherwise Amin al-Dawlah will not stay alive (July 5th); 6- Riza's telegram to Fakhr al-Dawlah regarding getting the money from Tumanians to rescue Amin al Dawlah (July 26th); 7- Telegram by Riza and Asif Divan from Tajrish to Fakhr al-Dawlah in Rasht, regarding the disputes in Lasht Nisha’ (August 11th); 8- Telegram by Safa ‘Ali [‘Ali Khan Zahir al-Dawlah] from Rasht to Fakhr al-Dawlah in Tehran, telling her that Muhammad Riza has taken the money that the writer was keeping, that they are handling the situation, and she should not worry any more (August 28th); 9- List of financial documents, dated September 23rd, that was forcefully taken. Names of Qasim Khan Kalantar and Sayyid Javad khan, son of late Shaykh al-Islam are listed; 10- Telegram by Amin al-Dawlah and Muhammad Riza from Rasht to Fakhr al-Dawlah in Tajrish about the property disputes in Lasht Nisha’ (September 24th); 11- Fakhr al-Dawlah's letter to [Charles] Marling, the British ambassador, about Amin al-Dawlah's situation, how he was captured, on June 14th, by some of the members of the Jangal Movment, describes decisions of the government representatives and sending Zahir al-Dawlah, how she provided one hundred thousand tumans by mortgaging her properties to Tumanians with high interests, and that finally Amin al-Dawlah was released and came back to Tehran. She complains about breaking the rule of law and Amin al-Dawlah's suffering while he was captured and asks the ambassador to forbid any transaction with those people as she considers such undertaking illegal (October 21st).

Surur al-Saltanah and Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk love letters, 1909 to 1910
Love letters of ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash), son of Karim Dad Khan, to Surur al-Saltanah, daughter of Zarrin Kulah Khanum and Khazin al-Mulk, accompanied by some envelopes and part of a letter, probably from Surur al-Saltanah to Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk. These letters were most likely written during the time between their ‘Aqd (formal contract of marriage) and ‘Arusi (marriage celebration and consummation), while Surur al-Saltanah was living in Tehran and Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk was traveling between Tehran and Khurasan; the letters have also been separately included in this collection; see related items.
