‘Izzat al-Saltanah gives a report of their travel: first, on the way from Tehran to Qum, Mahmud Khan was thrown from the carriage, but only sustained minor injuries on his hands, for which Khanum [their mother, Khadijah Sultan] sacrificed a few sheep.
