Box and its contents
The box belonged to Muʼayyid al-Muluk, the grandmother of Azardukht Qahramani, and it includes different types of envelopes, papers, postcards, stickers, and a notebook.
Muʼayyid al-Muluk to Khanum Jan, 1907-1918
Collection of letters from Muʼayyid al-Muluk to Khanum Jan: a letter about visiting Hazrat ʻIlliyah before the trip, a description of the trip, a request to deal with the receipt of 80 tumans, sending Shakur Bayg's message, greeting Shakur Bayg's wife and Shahzadah ʻAmid, and complaining about Nanah's not accompanying the writer on the trip, (October 12, 1907); a letter about sending money for a dowry and talking about dowry issues, a request not to sell the items, asking for the care of the nanny, probably inviting her for the spring, and greeting her, complaining of Shakur's wife, and asking to pay money to a relative as debt, (November 25, 1907); a greeting letter wishing for the well-being of Sharaf al-Din Mirza, ʻAmid Mirza, and ʻAbd al-Baqi, talking about Mahi's and Sima's education, opening of a new school for girls in Ardabil, having difficulties shopping in Ardabil because of the cold winter and inflation, asking Shakur to purchase goods, receiving some telegrams about the suicide of Mirza Ibrahim's son, the expulsion of Sima's nanny from andaruni by ʻAmid Huzur for eating opium. The author also complains about Naqi's wife's not giving away her kid, which led her to be forced to ask for help in Ardabil, and how Shakur's wife has been helpful to her. Muʼayyid al-Muluk writes about the delay of responding to Khanum Jan's letter because of receiving her letter yesterday (January 21, 1918).
